Buruji Kashamu (Eso Jinadu) dies at 62

 Former Senator, Buruji Kashamu, is dead.

He died due to complications of COVID-19, his former colleague, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce said in a tweet on Saturday.

“I have just lost my good friend of forever to #COVID19,” Murray-Bruce said. “Until his death, Sen. Buruji Kashamu and I were inseparable.

“He died today at First Cardiology Consultants, in Lagos. May his gentle soul rest in peace. I pray his family and loved ones the fortitude to bear this heavy loss.”

Obaseki's Family Members Declared Support For Ize Iyamu

Some family members of Governor Godwin Obaseki have declared their full, unalloyed support for the candidate of All Progressive Congress candidate in the forth coming election in Edo State, pastor Osaie Ize Iyamu.
Newsmen gathered that the family members were led by Mr Osaro and Victor Emmanuel Obaseki, they made their intentions public and promise to campaign for him, they emphasis that the current governor has disappoint people of Edo state.

Responding to the endorsement Pastor Ize Iyamu express his happiness to step taken by the family and further said; " I am indeed overwhelmed with joy for the selflessness and doggedness of the family."
He further appreciated the family for producing a face cap inscribed his own name, he therefore promised to do a government of transparency.

Gunmen Killed Thirteen Family Member In Kogi

Gunmen invaded Agbudu Community in Koton-Karfe in Kogi State on Wednesday 29th September, 2020, killing thirteen members of a family with ten others injured.

Ede Ayuba, the commissioner of police in the state confirmed the attack to a journalist in Lokoja, the state capital.

According to him, the dead victims include 13 members of the same family .

“Thirteen people were killed and ten  people were fatally injured. The sad thing all the  13 dead bodies that were brought are all of the same  family,” the police commissioner said

He added, “But in the interim, I want to give you that assurance that we are not going to relent in our efforts.


“We will make sure that we get to the root of anything that is behind the killings around that  axis.”

Ayuba said as soon as he got wind of the situation, he quickly dispatched a team of police operatives, including the Divisional Police Officer in the area to the community.

He, however, explained that the gunmen fled the area before the arrival of security personnel

Ayuba pledged that the State Police Command would not relent in its efforts to tracking the perpetrators of the crime.

The commissioner said that the police had carried out some preliminary investigations and discovered that there had been long-standing communal feud in the community.

He noted that the police authorities are investigating the attack, adding that the real cause of the violence will be revealed soon

A Village Head Has Been Killed Again In Nasarawa

The village head of Udege development area in Nasarawa Local Government in Nasarawa State, Amos Ewa Obere has been killed by Gun Men.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Bola Longe, confirmed this to Channels Television.

He said the killing occurred on Friday night, around 10 pm when the perpetrators stormed the community and shot the deceased, thus leading to his death.

Longe noted that the traditional leader sustained a grave injury in his stomach as a result of the gunshot and was rushed to the Mararaba Udege General Hospital, for medical attention where he gave up the ghost.


The police boss revealed that security has been beefed up in the area.

Obere was a retired Assistant Superintendent of Police and the ward head of Odu and other surrounding villages

Chief Imam of Benin Endorses Obaseki

The Chief Imam of Benin city in Edo State  Abdulfatah Enabule has given nod to the aspiration of Governor Godwin Obaseki second term in office.

While receiving the governor Godwin Obaseki, some political juggernaut and some Islamic clerics at his residence, chief Imam eulogise governor Godwin Obaseki for the job well done in the state.


Imam emphasis that governor Obaseki has put smile on the faces of entire Edo State and we can count achievements of governor Obaseki from the faces of people of Edo state. According to him he implore the good people of Edo State to give governor second chance to continue and complete the good work he started in the state.


While responding Governor Obaseki thanks the chief Imam for his hospitality against the insinuation that chief Imam won't like to see us. He further appreciate his fatherly and elderly roles he plays in the city and assure all stake holders transparency in his government.
